i have a 2004 1500. was wonder what is the differents between a f-body stall and a truck stall its the same block and trans. can i use a stall from a f-body or do i have to buy one from yank that is made for a truck?

 

the trans isn't quite the same. they have a different output spline number but YES the converter are the same and will work on a truck

The transmissions and converter are essentially interchangeable. Ironically the 5.3 and 6.0 trucks have the exact same stall as the 5.7 F-Body, just a different clutch material. So, yes is your answer. But I would suggest calling Circle D for your converter needs, I hear they make a great converter -

thanks everyone for your help... i just bought a 3600 vigilante converter off some i know for 300 dollars. i just want to make sure it would work..
