Default Converter ques.

ok i have a small issue..

my tranny is finaly having issues.. after about 12 bottles on the 150 shot..

so i'm putting a built tranny in here in about a month or 2 and i'm thinking of maybe a slighty better converter..

heres my issue.. the truck is my towvehicle for the car in my sig.. so it has to be able to tow 7-8k lbs at times

i was considering the TB I6 stall will it put up with the stock motor cut out and 125 shot or will i need something stronger??

does any one make a "towing" converter??

Mike

Look at a yank tt2600 or tt3000. I think both of those retain stock towing capacity. Just make sure and get a good and large tranny cooler to handle the excess heat build up.

yeah get a yank. i'm very happy with my TT3000. i have not towed with it though so i can't say how it tows. but they are made so you can retain almost all your towing capacity. just throw on a really big tranny cooler and i think you'll be good.

Precision Indusustries multi disk... the only way to go IMO...

-keep the stall speed relatively low (< 3000) and throw a nice big cooler in front of that thing and hook up to anything you want within reason. 8-10K lbs wont give you any problems. A little shorter gear will make it easier on the whole drivetrain too.... something to consider.
