Default Converter in/out of lockup from going to bigger stall?

I had a Dacco 3200 10" converter (which was more like a 3500) and I switched to a Yank ss3600, and now the converter just goes in and out of lookup? I don't understand... I've read all the other threads about this bit I couldn't find any info I didn't already know... My PWM is set at min: 90 and max: 99. All the misfire tables have been disabled and my lookup/unlock speeds at 0% tps have been matched to the 6.25% values... Anything I might be missing???

Mine does it on the freeway. If its lockup up and I'm just cruising at say 70mph and I have to let off the gas for a second it unlocks. Soon as I get back on the throttle it locks right back up. Completely ignores the tables in this situation. It locks when it's supposed to part throttle and WOT, but unlocks soon as I completely let off the throttle. Tried to fix it, ask a bunch of converter/trans people, no answer. I just said screw it and deal with it.

That's a 4l80e deal, it always unlocks when it goes to 0%, and it annoys the **** out of me. There's a way around it, which is basically using a 4l60e tune which does not unlock @ 0%. There's some wiring tricks to it, but nothing major from what Ive been told.

Well mine never drops to 0% and still does the lock and unlock crap... My throttle can be completely steady at say like 12% and it will kick in and out of lockup...

My verter only unlocks if I am at about 45mph and let off the gas it will unlock until i give a little more gas and hits lock up speed again, Which is 45mph.

Sounds to me like its a tuning issue for sure Ls1freek..Wish I could help you out more than that.

Huh... I feel like mine locks too soon and is on the verge of taking to long to unlock. As I get on the interstate it if I'm not letting it eat, it is in OD and locked before I merge into traffic. I hate the way when I let off the throttle I feel the back lash or my gears trough the drive line then as it comes to a stop it unlocks. I get alot of engine braking when I get off it on the highway...

LS1FREEK, maybe you could copy and paste some 60E tables into your tune or something?

MPFD, sounds like a simple tweak to your tune will fix you up, maybe just change the speed at which lockup occurs. Mine locks up in 4th gear at about 52 mph which seems to work out well. When I'm in D-3 it will lock up sooner, but I think that I'm going to have it tuned not to lock up in D-3, since that is "Spirited Driving" mode
