Default converter opinions... 4l80e with boost

I figure its time to finally upgrade my factory 80e 6.0 converter. Those of you with similar setups to me...what are you running and what do you like/dislike about it? Stall speeds/Manufacturer preferences would definitely be helpful.

My current setup...(in sig) 15psi and 3.73 gears with 30" tires.

Thanks ahead of time.

I have heard this rumor.....but 3000 is a bit high for a Maggie. I'm thinking 2500 give or take.

I have a pi converter for my 80e, it bolts up to an ls1 flexplate but works with the 80e and stalls around 2k behind my 5.3 (). I like it, it feels stock just driving around. Behind my turbo 410 it would make about 4 lbs of boot at 3k before tires would spin, so its pretty tight. The big selling point is it works with ls1 flexplates with no additional mods.

With that said, although I didnt have any trouble with it, I might feel more comfortable with the 6bolt converters as opposed to the 3 bolt ones...

I already have the updated GM 80e flexplate so I will be using a 6 bolt face.

I have heard good things about PI.

I had this same converter behind my 408 and it has never skipped a beat. I sent it back when I did my 80e to get it modified to fit and it worked fine. I have had good luck with PI, I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again.

2600-2800 at very most... 2400-2600 more likely
