Default Converter lockup question....

My trans is just sporting a vette servo, ss4000, stock line pressures, no tq mgt., adaptive learning disabled, and pwm disabled. Since the converter swap, it will not lock the converter from time to time, I don't know if this could be an 1870ish symptom or not. Whats weird is that when it won't lock, I can kick it in neutral, kill the engine, immediately restart it and it works like a champ, lockup is instant. Lockup is also very firm, it's not like the clutch is spongy. And with that being said, it may be great for 200 miles. But for some reason, it seems that when I am accelerating moderately at part throttle, it triggers something that wont allow lockup until I restart it. Do you guys think this is something the transgo might help cure?

Thanks, Ryan

Well, I have disabled some dtc's when I did the converter and servo, I can re-enable them and see what gives then. I have maxed all the misfire detection, thats not it. I'm taking a 90 mile roadtrip to my parents today, will enable all the dtc's as factory and see what it may throw.

It could be a DTC not allowing lockup at time but, most likely its in the TCC tables. You having harsh shifting thats associated with limp mode if not then its definately tune related. Can you post what you got gooing on far as TCC apply vs.mph/tps,release vs.tps/mph.I jus went through the same deal gettin my SS4000 dialed in the camaro.

Well, I just overwrote the file I was/am using. But I looked at it and my apply /release speeds vs tps were close in some spots (within 2 mph), so I widened the gap between the 2. Hopefully it was just confusion because there wasnt much seperation between the two tables. I only lockup in 4th. This is what I am about to try to roll with.

There you go deffinately widen the gap.Make sure they are not over lapping.I think mine are split 8mph in most areas

Well, codes back to stock, spread out the values between the apply and release tables and (knock on wood), no one bobble today after 187 miles of mixed driving. No codes popped up. Looking at a file before the converter and gears, my spread between the apply and release was a bit larger and I guess when I changed all the trans parameters for the gears that it set them up too close for proper operation. Thanks for the input guys!
