Don't know why its doing it but it isn't helping my 1/8 mi. times. I've heard theres ways to keep the converter from locking up with a switch. I can unlock it by touching the brake pedal just enough to light the brake lights but it goes right back into lock. When it locks then it goes into 4th, is it a tuning mistake??

 

that can be adjusted in your tune. discuss it with your tuner, let him know the mph and rpm's you are at (and of course 100% throttle) and he can take care of it. It's not really a mistake, just a preference. There was debate in the 1/4 mile people of what was faster between locked and unlocked.

 

Wasn't there a debate with regards to dyno numbers as well (not that it REALLY matters)?

Tuned mt TC to lock in 4th. Definitely a configurable preference.
