Default 4l80e

I know that first gear sucks for these trannies, but I was wondering if putting in a higher stall converter will help. I have a 2500 burban with 4.10 gears. I don't haul anything but if I do it will only be my 96 SS. Also I would put a bigger tranny cooler on it too with a fan to compensate for the heat generated from the higher stall. How high should I go for an daily driver. Cause I was thinking about putting 4.56 gears in then I was looking for the 6l80e which will be hard to find so a good converter should do right. I have no mods for now.
