Default Converter Install

I'm about to have my Yank TT2600 installed and have people telling me different things about my Transmission. I had a mechanic tell me that it will break the transmission if I have a custom tune where shifts have been modified (firmness). A transmission guy told me that I need to install a shift kit when I install the converter. Then a friend with a 95 T/A said to leave the trans stock and just switch the converter, because the trans is under factory warranty. So do I need to have my Tuner modify my tune for the converter? Should I have a transgo shift kit installed or leave it stock for now?

You dont have to but it's a good idea to tune for the converter. A shift kit is not necessary but you'll enjoy one, expecially with the converter.
The shift kit will void your warrenty, but the converter would anyway so just do it!

Yea, like trever said, if you are already voiding your waranty with the converter, minus well
tuck in a trans-go on there, it'll help the
tranny with the shifts. You will also need
a tranny cooler, unless you already have one.

throw you a shif kit in there and let your tunner modify the tune. and tell clint he doesn't know what he's talking about, haha j/k. heard he's got that thing running hard on the spray. my patna had drove it at the track (so what i've heard of word of mouth)
you know how that goes around that area.

Yep Clint did say that...LOL. His car went 9.83 @ 136mph on a 150shot. His converter is a bit to loose so he sent it back to get restall. Next time out he is going to start out with 200 shot and if all goes well the next pass will be 300. It was dyno tuned on a 250 shot. Made 700 RWHP I don't recall RWTQ. He is still running a 355 LT1. Also he just did a photo shoot for GM High Tech Performance Mag. and should be in an upcoming issue.

I'm off to order a shift kit......

According to post here, private messages, and my tuner it may be necessary to adjust the speed at which lockup occurs and it may be necessary to adjust transmission line pressure
