(I know I know, should've thought about it when the motor was out)
So, the new motor is running well. The current converter was spec'd with my Whipple (most everyone knows what happened with that....) that is no longer on the truck. It's an FTI 2800 single disk.
I think the converter is too tight for a NA setup. Before I had to replace the tranny, I had a Circle D 3200 that I loved. It was loose but not loose enough that it was annoying but it would certainly stall when asked to do so.
The FTI converter is tight. It doesn't make the engine bog or anything and from a light it pulls hard until I let off the gas.
Thoughts? I know what Chris@Circle D thinks and I am just wanting opinions on if the 2A converter from Circle D will be enough or do I need something more?
The engine isn't anything special, it's a TMS LQ9, 10.75:1 compression, CNC 317s, 226/232 .578/.587 115+4 (I think +4, might be +3).

I was doing a converter change with a Circle D 3200 before I bought Gonzo6.2 Magnacharger, so i sent it back in exchange for a little less stall in the 26-2800 but in all likelihood it will probably still flash at 3000 or more. I like converter upgrades for performance and even towing applications best bang for the buck imo! The 2A or higher would be a tire fryer! LOL!!!!
