clip out of bracket shifter

Default clip out of bracket shifter

i took the the little u clip out of the the cable i thought it needed to come off to take the bracket off for a trans fluid change AND NOW I CANT FIGURE HOW IT GOES BACK IN ,,,
IS IT NEEDED? MY TRANS IS A 4L60

Push the cable in. The 2 tabs will basically open up against the bracket. Then you just push it in. It should slide in easy, and it should sit against the plastic. If you need i can take a picture of mine tomorrow
