circle d converter... need opinions
#1
well i've already emailed chris but i'd like to see what you guys think.
my setup consists of a 2008 gmc rcsb with the following
2006 LQ4 & 4L80E Swap (converted everything to gen IV)
228r 110 LSA tsp camshaft
LS7 lifters w/ PAC 1218 springs & comp cam magnum pushrods 7.4
.030 milled 317 heads other than that they're stock un touched
4L80E is stock as well no shift kit etc.
4.10 gears in the rear on 10 bolt with g80
Ok, as of now i'm running with the stock converter, for roll racing it's fun. However, at the track or a dead stop, man is this thing a ******* pig! best 60ft on nitto nt555r 305/35/20 in the rear has been a 2.2. this thing launches super slow, once it hits like 2800 rpm it just flies! I'm looking into a stall now, I'm really pointing towards Circle Ds budget friendly converter. the "GM 278mm HP 4L80 LS Torque Converter" https://www.circledspecialties.com/p...converter.aspx
I'd be getting it at 3200. Would this baby help me out on the launch? My truck is my dd so its mostly for street use so the tighter the stall, the better. And ive read this stall is pretty tight and street friendly. 80% street 20% track is what my truck is used for. I'm on a budget, a real tight one. And i really like this converter. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks guys, sorry i typed so much lol.
