this is the rear left rotor and emergency brake that went bad! damn gm lol

here you see the grove it made in the rotor!


here is the emergency brake pad that was supposed to be held in with clip!

its a common problem on these trucks. my old truck did that. the e-brake sucks. probably part of the reason why they went back with drum on the rear

yeah i had the same problem on the old truck as well, figured i would show some newbi's what to look for or at lol

Just had my e-brake replaced. Service tech told me that they might be doing a recall on them.

Seriously doubt they will do a recall way too many trucks to fix. So whats the best solution for this. My parking brake doesnt even work so I was planning on tearing in to it sometime in the near future. Any suggestions?

a brake upgrade for the speeds your fixing to be trapping. 60-0 is as important as your 0-60. your in a heavy *** truck too....

Looks like mine are on the way out too!! The pads for the e-brake seem to drag and wear on the lower back side. Is there a fix for this besides just putting new ones on that are going to do the same thing???
Now my intermediate steering shaft is feeling weird again as well!!
Sucks ***!

How about just removing the e-brakes?? My pedal goes all the way to the floor anyway.
