Default changing gears...

I have an 03 Yukon, added 20's,etc...and before I get a custom tune, I'm thinking about changing form factory 3.42's to 4.10's...anyone else make a drastic change on theirs, and what are your thoughts?
Mine has the 4.8, small i know, but 90% of my driving is around town...need more low end.

thanks in advance!

Man alive, I cannot even begin to fathom how horrible your low end is. Can you even get up a hill on the highway? I have 31.5" tires with 3.42s and a 6.0 and it sucks. I'm thinking of switching to 3.90s (this will get me right at 2000rpm @ 70mph, dont want to go any higher than that). How tall are your tires? I've done extensive research on the 4.10s and even messaged a few people and they said they'd do it again in a heartbeat.

they are 285/50/50's, so they are 31.2 tall.
Yea, I used to build old hot rods, last truck had an aluminum headed 406, with 4.11 gears and 3500 stall...far cry from this as far as head snap.

What exactly could be tuned that would make it "come alive"? I'm a little confused here. Was it messing up your shift points?
