carrier bearing bracket..

Default carrier bearing bracket..

ok i look underneath the truck and im confused, if i try to taake the bracket off to replace it with the djm one, it does not look like it comes apart, wat do i do? thanks

it comes apart....theres 2 bolts....one on each side

i see those but do does the asssembly come apart?

no...the whole thing unbolts and dont come apart

ok so i went to attempt this again and i am curious, the carrier bearing is attached to the crossmember by a piece of metal flat like the bed.... do i cut this off or wat cause idk wats going on here, thanks

yeah, you have to trim some of it... depending on how you use the carrier bearing bracket, but you have to trim off enough so that the flat piece thats attached to the driveshaft can get past the bracket on the crossmember

ok im trying to decide whether i should use the new bracket or cut the old one and move it and weld it back, not sure which would be better, i think reusing the stock one would be safer but idk, thanks
