Default Can 4l80e guts fit 4l60e case

I am building 408ci 6.0 and need a trans to hold the estimated 450rwhp. My truck has a 4l60e i heard tougher 4l80e guts will fit???? I also am converting it to eldbrocks carb setup and was wondering what kinda headache i was looking at as far as reprograming pcm with the carb setup. And where to get throttle cable setup.

Thanks for your input

That's true, but I've heard of such a thing. If I remember correctly there was a company that was able to fit 4l80e parts into a 4l60e. Short answer no though.

Do a search for carb or variations of it. There was someone a few months back that put a carb'd 6.0 in his 70's or 80's? model truck.

Older 4L60/700r4 would work. Need TV cable & vac lines, and adapter parts to make older trans work. I've heard of it being done on another board. Not sure about this one though.

It is not possible. The 4L60-E and 4L80-E have nothing in common mechanically. The only answer is "no".

EDIT-I don't want to claim something exists, but I could swear I read something to that extent.
