It's not an identical product to caltracs, but I think they should work well. Some people prefer the assassins due to more configurations, but the caltracs are proven. I didn't want to deal with drilling or cutting my leafs or relocating the leaf.

I did not like how the caltracs hit the top of the bar. Someone posted oics on YB about how they damaged a leaf spring. Also i did not like that solid aluminum bushing you have to install on the caltracs.

I am sure both work the same.

Sell that intake as it's hurting you all over

Next buy caltracs

Set chassis up to work

Some of the fastest vehicles in world are using caltracs and currently 2 fast full size trucks going 1.3s with them

I know the intake is hurting my bottom end but I wont be getting rid of it. I'm not a serious racer and this is my DD so I'll just have to deal with that part for now. Ill be putting that intake to good use in the future. As far as gearing goes, is there anything easy I could do to help? Is my 2800 stall to small and are my 3.42 gears to big? I do know that I might need my trans tune looked at. It seemed like it was having a hard time shifting into the next gear, maybe hitting the rev limiter when I ran it at the track. Not sure If me spinning could be the cause of this? And cruising on the interstate, the convert wouldn't lockup till like 70MPH

Why not? I dailied a pro charged TBSS for about a week that had a hi ram and no issues at all as long as it's tuned right. Also know of 2 local guys who did lsx454 swaps in silvys and daily them with the hi ram.
All in the tuning. Not saying his tuner isn't good, just saying they can be tuned to DD perfectly fine

Well mines on a 5.3 thats a daily driver and it still drives fine. No hot start issues even in the 100 degree Houston days. Now the bottom end might not be that great but is still drives fine lol

That was the one thing I didn't like about the design. When I made mine, I made the top out of a flat plate that rested against the spring so there wasn't a small area of pressure causing damage.
