Default Caltrac bushing???

I have a set of caltracs that are missing the bushing for the front spring eyelet. Can i use the stock bushing or should i try to pick up a different bushing or what? I see some people just shave the stock bushing down, but I want to make sure this works. Also do you have to purchase this bushing from caltrac or can ya buy it local?

its a calvert part, but im sure a machine shop can make it for you if you have the deminsions. i would want the bushing in there. it's the main pivot point for the setup and i wouldnt want it squishing around in there. see if you can find a polyurithane bushing for it at the least.

im waiting on calvert to open and see how much they want for the bushings! I hate to spend a fortune to have someone turn a set and not know what size either!

I think i have a spare set of the aluminum press in pieces but not the steel inserts. I will have to look at the shop next time i go there. See what caltracs says though their customer service is pretty good. Also if you want to get a hold of me pm me because i rarely get on this site.

Only use the calvert parts IMO... Under those kinds of pressures I wouldn't even mess with poly.

Less deflection is better. Suspension geometry is important when trying to net a good 60 ft. Get the aluminum bushings, they aren't too pricey.
