Moving the well bearings over to the McGaughy spindles- at the top they want me to put in a stud with locktite but the top hole of the wheel bearing is threaded also. Am I supposed to drill our the top threads in the wheel bearing so a nut can be tightened on the stud................
TIA

I have a pair of mcgaughys spindles but haven't installed them yet. That is how i interpret the instructions. Stud threads into spindle, bearing slides over, nut keeps it In place. Drilling the threads out in the bearing is not mentioned in the instructions i have either. 31/64th drill or 1/2" will be enough clearance for m12 stud.

There is no drilling required, the instructions do not say to drill anything.

Install the two lower bolts, thread the stud in and use the nut to tighten the top one.
