Damn that sucks man. Good thing you caught it before you got everything bolted up. This is a sign to go with an 80e.

Talked to Frank...installation breakages arent covered under the warranty, but he would be happy to sell me a new pump.

For now the stocker is going back in I guess just have to be real gentle with it until I decide what to do.

Well I pulled the stock trans today and after one of the top bell housing bolts took me an hour I finally got it out. Anyway I still cant get the troque converter to seat up fully on the PB trans, even with the fixed rotor. I also cannot rotate the rotor tabs by hand either...

How big of a no no is it to use the working pump on the pb trans? Would anything be compromised (besides the PB warranty)?

So you replaced the slide, rotor, and vanes and the converter still won't seat fully?

I'm pretty sure that is what Atomic said.

Atomic I have seen when a rotor brakes in most cases there is some damage to the pump itself as well. The fact that you can not turn the rotor tells me this is the case as to why you can not get the converter in. You could use the pump assembly from the other trans. However if Frank did not authorize what you have done so far your warranty is already done. Vince

I talked to Frank before I did anything, and he said since installation damage isnt covered under the warranty that I was basically on my own anyway, and if I replaced the rotor with one just like the original they could never know the difference....

I guess I will switch the pumps. Does FLT repair pumps? I would like to get the broken one fixed.
