Default 99z71 transfer case swap

I've got a post down the line here about some autotrac trouble I'm having. Let me throw this one out there. My truck is a stock 99 Z71 with a 5.3. I just built a slightly beefed up 4l60e for it. I'm planning to swap the 10 bolt to a 14 next and was going to follow that up with an engine build probably to the tune of about 450-500hp. I use it for towing, and as of now mild wheeling. I'd like to do slightly more hardcore wheeling in the future but don't now because I rely on the truck too much to go breaking stuff. The question is how much time and money should I go through to make the autotrac stuff work right again. Is there a better case someone could recommend that could withstand hardcore wheeling, work with tranny I just dumped a bunch of money in, and not cost a fortune. I can handle fabrication, rebuilding things and the like but I don't have a real strong grasp of the electronics end of things so that's where I'll need the most guidance. I'm figuring something out of a floor shifted 3/4 ton would be the most logical but don't know much about the applications as far as what was used in what. This is the first later model 4X4 I've messed with like this so thanks for answering any stupid questions I may pose. If someone could suggest what to use and how I make the front differential actuator work with it I'd really apreciate it.......or should I swap the front axle out for........I guess that may be a later post. Thanks again, Greg
