I need a 2 piece also. I got a couple of quotes around $1000. I have not spoken to Dennys yet but I will be giving them a call today.

Yeah I did call them and they told be around $950 including shipping. Man I was hoping for around $500-600.

Have any of you tried contacting Strange to see if they would build one at truck lengths? According to their online catalog, their 3" and 3.5" chrome-moly driveshafts are pretty reasonable. The catalog did not specify any max length restrictions.

does any body knows how long is a single cam with a 4l60 an stock diff??

That's the problem, the length of the driveshaft is close to the point of needing a 2-piece. Add gobs more power combined with the weight of the truck and the increased critical speed of the d/s and now you know why you need a thousand dollar unit............

Has anyone reported problems with the steel 2 piece driveshafts? I'm looking at simply adding the Speed Eng 4l80e yolk and having my 2 piece balanced and calling it a day.
