broken shift shaft in NV3500

Default broken shift shaft in NV3500

I have an 88 chevy with the NV3500 5 speed in it.the guy i bought it from some how broke the part on the shift shaft that pushes the rods into gears..Were can you by that part or does any one have one sitting around?

napa and most parts places say they cant get it anymore

I broke it in my 95 10 years ago. I got it from the dealer. They upgraded it and made it stronger.

Just to ask a question off the wall but in same kinda subject does ur truck have the 5.7 or the 4.3 im doin a swap from 4.3 to 5.7 and just wanna know if it would work

how much did it cost at the dealer?

It was 10 years ago. I don't remember. I'd guess less than $50. I don't remember it being expensive.
