Default broke something in rear end today..

last night left kinda hard from a stop light and heard a clunk from somehwere. couldnt feel or hear anything else so i just srugged it off. went back home and today i get about 3 blocks from my house and notice that when i gas it the truck pulled to the right. after about the 3rd blip on the throttle i heard the same clunk again, and from then on i was coasting to the side of the road.

first i thought my tranny let go, but i put it in gear, let the clutch out and it revved and the mph went up as well as the rpm. didnt make any strange noises or sound like anything was broken but the truck wasnt going anywhere... so i left it in gear (parking break on) and hopped out to look underneath, to see that my drive shaft was spinning.

im assuming its in my posi, axles are still in place and i most likely would hear the pinion gear clanking around in there if it was broken... good thing ive got a new g80 sitting in the garage

I would sell the G80 and get a Truetrac. If you put the G80 in you will probably hear the clunk again before to long.

have you opened it up yet or found out what it is, to me it sounds like spider gears are screwed in the rearend.
