Broke rear end today. Need advice quick

Tranny is less than 2 months old so I hope not. The truck rolls but you can hear metal crushing in the differential.

As bad as the crunching from the rear end sounds, that's a good sign. It rolls and that means the trans probably survived.

Is this item an eaton lsd or just a plain g-80? It would suck to buy a g-80.

i have an auburn and have no problem with it i love it..the only problem i had with it at first..when i went to change the oil for the first time i put in 1 bottle of gm additive and it would chatter when i would turn..called their tech up and they said to have at least 3 bottles of the additive in it..since then no problems..locks up both tires so i cant bitch..my stock g-80 also took a dump on me..i was doin doughnuts and it locked up and my truck tipped on two wheels..the whole casing was busted in half
