Brake upgrade on my '02 Silvy
Just installed the Baer big brakes and did the dual piston rear caliper upgrade and I must say, this is pretty sweet!
Scored the rotors and brackets for $250 and they look brand new!!
Here's a shot of the rear with the dual piston setup:
I will say that this Baer setup requires using calipers and pads for a 4x4, as a 2WD Suburban uses smaller pads and different calipers.
I'm not sure if a person were to buy a loaded caliper off of a 2WD 'Burb whether they would work with stock rotors on the rear or not. I know there are several guys on here that have made the dual piston upgrade on their trucks and maybe they can chime in.
I didn't take any pics of the front....it's a matter of changing out the bracket and the rotor and re-using the stock calipers up there (and I already had the front wheels stuck back on before I thought about it DUH!)
This oughta slow down the 'toon when I'm pulling it or the enclosed. Thanks everyone for the info on here!
