Yes I knew this before I bought them and I was skeptical on anything AcDelco sold as an upgrade as well. Got them based on testimonies from other similar owners with good experiences. The slotted/dimpled rotors along with ceramic pads were definitely an upgrade over the stock I had for my application and I had to be careful to get exactly the right part numbers for the premium as there were lower priced lines of the same brand. The Original and Durastop were both quiet, but now I have less dust and definitely a notable difference in stopping even over when truck was brand new. How do they compare to anything else I can put on this truck...I dunno...I only have the OEM's to compare to so far. Could I get better with EBC, SBC, etc.,most likely. All it takes is more money and this was a good $450-ish upgrade for me last year until I decide on new larger 20's, tires, and then consider larger rotors, calipers, and other.....even if they are the Firestone of brakes. cheers

yeah i mean, they stop ok and stuff but i mean i dont wash my truck that often sometimes and it's kinda like a pet peave to have my wheels looking like trash ya know... just too much dust for me thats all, im not saying they are bad or anything but after about a couple days of driving about 100-150 miles my front wheels were black. the best thing about them is that they have a lifetime warranty, so you can buy one set and never have to buy pads again.

Mine were not remans. they were new. The Raybestos part numbers I got for my application were ATD785C and ATD834C but you will need to make sure you get the right part numbers for your application.
