Default Bogarts on 05+

Fitting the 15x4 bogarts on the front of the 05+ is a big challenge! Got one side done after hours at it.
Still plenty of meat left on the caliper but balancing the wheel and tire will require the old clamp style weights on the back side of the wheel. Got about a 1/8" to 3/16" clearance right now, I may grind a little more but it clears.

I likely will later but for now I want to get it put together. Like I said theres plenty of meat left so I most likely will give it a little more clearance.

Dude, you should know better than to make a statement like that.

OP, I would get them balanced.

I still stand by my statement, never have i ever balanced skinnies or slicks or radials ever....never had issues

Ever mount a streetbike tire? Its similar as how you line up the dot on the tire

George,

We all know you are the resident expert when it comes to drag racing and building fast cars. However, in this instance, I'm pretty sure that just because you have never noticed anything bad about not balancing.................I don't think you have the qualifications to make a blanket statement like that....on behalf of everyone in the drag racing community.....from the hobby ranks to the Pros.

I tell you what George, if you feel that strongly on this position, go over the bullet and start a thread titled: "Anyone who balances a tire for a drag car is a moron as it is not needed".

See how far that gets you.

If you don't choose to make the thread.........it will confirm to all of us, that you are self admitting that most of what tech **** you post, is just regurgitated **** that you read somewhere else.

Listen you do as you feel and ill do as i do, ok?
Alot and i mean alot of **** you do doesnt make an ounce of sense...so lets agree to disagree here

Heres food for thought thou, think of how many forms of racing there are and think how many of them balance tires.....theres dots on a tire for a reason
