I know david, cant believe it made it this far!

I'm not working now, and so I wont be going tru-trac just yet. Ben gave me a low mile G80 to replace it with and is gonna help me stick it in this evening so I can learn how to do it next time lol.

Mine had 165,000 on it and at the track last weekend it gave out, started clunking when I turned off the track to get my slip. So i went ahead and ran it one more time and the left wheel wouldnt spin lol. Drove it all the way home from Diboll which is like 100 miles and then drove it sunday and monday, then me and nicksilverado were driving to Bens work to get a pulley puller for his 6.0, and it started clunking real bad, only when you let off the gas. So I limped it on back home, kinda power braking it at stopsigns so it wouldnt make that awful noise.

I'm glad it didnt lock up and take my trans with it.

Got a few marks on the cover where those chunks dented it but looks good enough.

Luckily Ben had this one on the shelf from when he did his tru-trac. Honestly dont know where I'd be without that guy

Look at the cute little spring stuck to the magnet...looks just like the spring that Toyota/Lexus use on their undersized sunglass holders lol

Well pulled it apart and the lil 8mm bolt that holds the pin in had snapped off, so had to do some magic and pull it out. The pin is all gauded up and it wont come out. So right now I can't pull it out. So as it stands now it still on stands. Anyways tomorrow I'll get the pin out and also o looked the the 8mm bolt from the replacement g80 and its starting to wear down too, so I'll be buying a new one before I reinstall all of this.

Had ben (silver-mod-o) come out, and Robert (6ltrbtr) too and they had some great tips for me and so I thank them. Hopefully it'll be back on the road tomorrow

And by the way it was a lot more fudged up than all of y'all thought lol. The worst they have seen.

That spider gear slinging around in there has effed the center pin up in a BAD way. Tried driving it out from both sides and it'll move about 3/8" either way. All the locking mechanisms are scattered. At this point I think the best way is going to be to get a torch and cut the carrier in two, loosen the straps to let the halves seperate and THEN try to drive the pin out and remove the axles etc. It's screwed LOL. The replacement carrier is in really good shape with the exception of the bolt. That's an easy fix while it's apart though.

Also suggested replacing the axle seals since it's such a high mileage rearend and it's never been apart. So far every one ive taken apart for the first time over 130-140K leak from the axle seals when they're put back together.
