Default Blew up the 10 bolt.... again...

So I grenaded my 10 bolt again and am looking to upgrade. I'm not sure what my options are though. I don't have the cash for a 9" swap so I am looking for a 14 bolt that will bolt in. I have disc brakes in the rear and would be willing to swap over to drums if I have to. Any suggestions? How far can you take a 10 bolt with the right parts?

The 14 bolt from the later SS's and Vortec Max's will bolt in...I believe that they are drum brakes but you mentioned that's not a problem. They already have the 6 lug axles...

That's what I've been told in the past but I am having a hard time locating one.

what diff were you running? i have a detroit locker in mine and it has taken alot of abuse. although i have broken 2 stock axle shafts. but i wiegh over 6000lbs and seemd to be making alot of power.

note: the last axle that broke seems to have slapped around and crack the bearing seat of the detroit. but the first time it broke it didn't hurt it.
