I had Koni Yellows on my WRX, and they were great. Perhaps they make an insert/cartridge style application? I doubt it, but it's worth a try...

Here are some places you can get QA1's. They are made by HAL. I know they sell them for a lot of airride applications and you need a lot more shock on a bagged truck than a steel spring truck so this might be just the thing for you.
