Default Best Proportioning Valve for Drum to Disc install.

I've looked and I've searched, and cant find any straight answer on which specific proportioning valve would fit and work perfect on an 06 silverado rear disc setup. If some one can just give me a link to one they have used or like and know its the right threads for GM brake lines I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Every Tahoe I've seen that had disc brakes in the rear had a factory one? I thought I read several times if you do the swap you need one because you can lock your rear wheels up easy.

When you swap from drum to disk you would need a manual type proportioning valve so that you can adjust as needed.

Swap the master and you won't need one. Use one from an earlier style truck with 4 wheel disc.

The ABS module only controls the ABS function.

So if I do the Hydro Boost swap, and take the booster and the master (as long as the rear has disc) I wont need the proportioning valve? I see this factory valve in like every 99-06 Tahoe at the salvage yard. ACDELCO 21998447

I stand corrected, even saw one yesterday... Is it just the tahoes that have the proportioning valve??? It had rear disc also... Know my truck, my boys 2000 tahoe, my old 02 suburban, and my old 02 avalanche didnt hve a proportioning valve....

I put Tahoe rear brakes on my truck that originally had 4 wheel disc and it does engage the rear brakes sooner/harder which makes the rear kick out on hard braking. Need to install a proportioning valve, just haven't got around to it...
