I recommend the General Motors 10-bolt with the factory G80. It's a very robust unit. Or maybe I'm just lucky LOL.

 

Well I ordered a Detroit True Trac. Hope it will work.

 

i think you will be just fine and enjoy it as long as you have someone set it up for u correctly. i have 31" tires and beat on mine daily with 4.10s no issues at all.

 

I am a welder mechanic/welder and have been dirt track and drag racing for years. Mostly set up full spools, this should not be a problem. Just not too familiar with posi traction limited slip etc.. Thanks again for the responses. Will let you know how it works.

 

Trutrac here and working great for 2 years now.

I miss the totally locked feeling the G80 had, but i've never had a situation with the trutrac where both tires on the ground where one tire sits there doing nothing while the other spins away. I got sideways in a ditch one time with a tire off the ground and it spinning away while the other barely turned (when pulsing the gas pedal). All it took was a tap on the brake pedal with a little power going and it sent power to the other tire and pushed me right out. Kinda cool.
