Default Best Hub Assembly & Inner tie rods?

Ok best bang for buck on a Hub assembly and inner tie rods. I gotta replace my left hub assembly and my great buddy parke10 HIGHLY recommends I replace my inner tie rods as well.

SOOoo.. The best I could find was a Timken hub assembly for 159.99 and Moog inner tie rods for 39.99 each. Good parts? Seems really affordable considering my right hub was 220 at car quest.

Thanks, Hi-May

I'm not sure on prices, but my work (O'reillys) carries National Bearings hub assemblies, and Moog suspension parts

ya I think the prices were the same for national vs. timken hubs. Autozone only carried duralast tie rods, I heard Moog was the best stuff so I found that price online.

prices sound about right, i just replaced everything in my front end, all tie rod ends, rack and pinion, etc. but why do you need to replace your tie rod ends just because you are replacing a hub?

Are your tie rods bad? Do they have any play in them? You really only need to replace them if they have play.

Did your truck feel alot better after replacing all that? I'm not exactly having any problems, but ive got 12X,000 miles on mine now and I can't imagine theyre going to last too much longer.

Well my two friends had to replace theirs at 30k on their 2005 trucks. My truck has 180k on a 1999. They said the worn out inner tie rod is the cause for worn hub bearings. Does the tie rod have any influence on the Hub?

BTW my steering wheel does have alot of play in it compared to their newer trucks, but my truck doesn't pull any direction. could this be tie rod stuff or more intense like steering linkage stuff?

My wheels and steering wheel would shake really bad from 45-50mph when my inner tie rods were bad. Jack the front end up and check it out.
