Default Baer Brake Comments

For those of you with Baer Brakes, mainly the AlumaSports....post your comments. Looks like the best bang. Would you recommend any other goodies while I change the brakes out? Does the kit come with new pads? Can I request a different caliper color?

Any Info Appreciated,
Chris

My calipers came with pads. As far as I know they only come in red. Don't know of anything else to tell ya except: buy 'em and put 'em on!!

The come with PBR calipers and pads. I would also recommend getting braided stainless steel lines while your at it and some good brake fluid like ATE Super Blue. One other thing I suggest is ordering an extra set of pads because they are hard to come by. It took 4 months to deliver my extra set from Baer. Other than that, no complaints.

Baer Calipers use industry standard pads. Just call them to find out what compatible pad will work. Sometimes it's from a vette, or similar. Sometimes companies like Carbotech who specialize in performance pads know exactly what you need.

BTW, I would not buy brake pads from any brake manufacturer. Your limited in selection, and usually suffer from high markup margins. Carbotech, Hawk, Pagid, and Porterfield are excellent performance brands. I would rock Carbotech all day long if they had an application for me. The panthers and bobcats are awesome for the import crowd and HPDE.
