Default Bad Vibration

I have been driving my truck for the past few days after it has been put up since Nov. I have a bad vibration in the front end from40 and up. I thought it might be flat spotted tires, but I think something is going on with the tie rods. I have not messed with it yet, besides moving the tire back and forth on the same plane as it would steer when it was on stands. It feels like a bad wheel on a shopping cart that can't get straight when I am on the highway. But the roads in RI aren't exactly friendly to lowered trucks. How much play should be in the wheel if it is jacked up off the ground? How do I go about fixing the problem?

I have not pulled the boot off, but i assume that the inner tie rods are held on by threads. Where the threads stripped? What was defective? Did you just replace the inner tie rods or the complete rack and pinion?

if you jack it up. and it has play when rocking from top to bottom. then its the balljoints. if it has play when rocking from side to side, then its the tie rods. if there is no play, then you could need your tires rebalanced.

could be wheel bearings as they are one piece, I had a bad one and had vibration in the front, replaced it and it went away. hope it helps.

I know it is the tie rods. I have play from side to side. I have already replaced the wheel bearings. I should probably change my lower balljoints anyway.
