why can't you just use your 4l60e main harness?

I actually have 2 or 3 internal 60e wiring harness laying around. If the final connector is the same I should be able to swap that out.

I thought the 60e main harness is a direct plug in (given that you swap the two appropriate wires)? That's what I was going to use on my swap

Yes the external harness will plug directly into both the 60e and 80e. There are differences on the internal side that may not make them easily swapped. Lengths come to mind... 60e has a TCC solenoid the 80e doesnt, 60e also has one more shift solenoid I think. Anyway probably worth 40 bucks to just buy the harness or possibly just swap the end connector.

For $50 I'd put a new harness in it and rule out problems there in the future...
