im istalling my YUKON 4.11 and the specification chart has
8.5" & 8.6" (old 5 step) 6-10 B/L
8.5" & 8.6" (new 2 step) 3-6 B/L

what am i old or new ???

need 2 know so i can finish up

I was told 6-10 for my silverado, so i put it a 8.

a friend just set some up. at 4 he couldn't spin the wheels by hand, so he said the set it to 7 and it seems perfect... this was in a NBS 10 bolt

its the same for different type of ring and pinion like richmond and yukon or whatever ?

it should say on the pinion or the ring gear can't remember which one.
that's how my motive was anyways

some gears dont come with the tolerances on them. i believe mine is .007
FYI superior gears dont come stamped.
