I just blew out the third seal on my axle. When the shop went to replace it the second time, they noticed a pit on the axle where the seal goes. They installed a relocator kit that was supposed to fix it. Well, I guess it didn't.

They quoted me a price of $450 for a stock gm shaft!!! I did some pricing online and the cheapest I could find GM was $360. Does anyone know of a good place to get replacement shafts at a good price?

I have a Powertrax locker on there. Does anyone think that could be the cause? It doesn't like to unlock without a fight.

 

there is a place on griggs rd. that builts custom D.S... but I dont know the name of the place... post this in the southern section, I bet there are some members in there that will know the name of the place...
