I Kind wish the .67 was .60 or so......
I know there has been a few thread on the 6l80e, Ithink I'm going to go do a little searching............

The 4L80E has it's good points and its bad points:
Bad - Weight, Efficiency, Gear Ratio Range
Good - Strength, Close Ratios, Availability, Adaptability

Compare the 6L80-E:
Weight - still much heavier than a 4L60-E

Efficiency - better than the 4L80-E. This trans was design from the ground up as a passenger vehicle high-performance transmission, not a light and medium-duty truck transmission. Besides less frictional loss, it's got more 2 more gear gatios to help it surpass in the 4L60-E in fuel economy.

Gear Ratio Range - First gear on the 6L80-E is 4.03:1 and sixth is 0.67:1. That is a final drive range of 5.97, that's huge. (A 4L80-E =3.31, 4L60-E = 4.43, 4L80-E+GVOD = 4.20, 4L60-E+GVOD = 5.56, T56(MM6) = 5.32, and the Allison 1000 = 5.08)

Strength - There will be a 6L90-E in the HD 6.0L trucks factory rated at 530lbs torque. Compare that to the factory rating for the 4L80-E at 440 and the 4L85-E at 460. I'd say this unit has a lot of potential because these figures mean that the clutch packs have enough capability to shift that much torque as smoothly as GM would want for a fluffy ride.

Ratios - The spread from first to second is dtill a lot, about half way between the 4L80-E and the 4L60-E, so the 1-2 shift feels better than the 4L60 but not as nice as a 4L80. The rest of the ratio spread is great. I have hot-rodded around in a 6.2L Denali a few times and can say the programming is a little bit busy and slow to upshift when you take your foot out, but the gear ranges provide a nice upshift and keep it in the powerband.

When the 6L80/90-Es become as available and adaptable as the 4L80/85-E already is, I can asure you the 6L80/90-E will obsolete the 80/85 for handling big power in these trucks.

Not exactly, the designation are just the series. Higher numbers mean more torque rating but they do not equate to torque rating.

4L60-E is rated at 360ft/lbs (488nm)
4L65-E is rated at 400ft/lbs (542nm)
4L70-E is rated at 400ft/lbs (542nm)
4L80-E is rated at 440ft/lbs (597nm)
4L85-E is rated at 460ft/lbs (624nm)
6L80-E is rated at 439ft/lbs (595nm)
6L90-E is rated at 531ft/lbs (720nm)
