Default average cost for 60e replacement

can anybody tell me what the average cost of a 60e replacement is with either a junkyard trans or rebuilt one? or how much a shop normally charges to rebuild one?

not looking to upgrade, just replace. i am trying to get things on my truck fixed so i can trade it in and then my trans goes out

thanks for any help

Junkyard guess would be around $500

Most places will rebuild for around $1000 to stock condition including labor.

would that be including the labor or pulling the trans and reinstalling it or just the price of the trans.

That $1000 is for a shop to remove the trans., replace what's broken, and re-install. That's what I have been quoted from a few places around Houston. I'm actually getting mine beefed up for around $1600, including new converter, solenoids, servos, clutches, shift kit, etc.

I paid $350 in labor and I spent about $900 in parts for my build and it's pretty equivalent to flt's level 4 build.
