Default Anyone w/ McGaughy's 4" rear drop?

What shocks did you use? I was told by the people at McGaughy's that I don't need new shocks and that the stock shocks will work. I still have the stock shocks right now and want to change them out but don't know exactly if a drop shock will work or just to stay with the stock size. So if anybody else with a mcgaughy's 4" rear drop has changed out their shocks to drop shocks with good results let me know.

Cool

I have heard lots of good things about Doetsch Tech Shocks . You can find some info about them at Mac's Springs but someone said that there may be cheaper places to get them. When I talked to McGaughys and Mac's they both said to keep the stock ones. So I have not bothered to change mine yet.

QA1 shocks are supposed to be very good but a little on the $$$$ side. Check out this thread if you have not already. Installed the QA1 on my RCSB.

Someone on gmfs also recommended dt shocks w/ shock extenders. I heard bilsteins work well too.

Cool

Does Bilstein make a drop shock for our trucks or just the stock length one. I have read posts by people who like the Bilstein and some who don't. I am not sure what to think about the Bilstein.

I looked and no luck at finding bilstien drop shocks. I guess I will look into the dt shocks with extenders.

Hey Leo, Don't you have the ride-control shocks? I would keep those, they are like $300 new. I plan on keeping my ride-control shocks when I get the Hotchkis TVS and rear air-bag helper springs.

Yeah I do have ride control but the button keeps breaking I have replaced it 3-4 times already. The only time it works is if I hold the button down myself
