Do I need a c notch too?

Nope...looks like the same basic parts I used for my 2/4 drop. Kit I used was the 2/4 from Mcgaughys.

I've heard of that brand, but I would just go with Mcgaughy's if I were you. Love them on my 01 Step Side.

I was looking at this rough country kit to. Im new to this page not sure how to work it. Ive read 4 in rear no cutting 5 cut bump stops down 6+ c notch

May be different on a GMT800 but on GMT400's you can get away with 4" without a notch, until you start carrying anything heavy around. Then it's time for a notch, or helper bags.
