I think for the track, the 3.73's will be better then the 42's. The 42's are gonna pull to around 90mph, give or take and put you in the lower part of third at the other end, may actually hurt your trap speed and time. It would be a good comparison to try out both though. I'm interested in what the outcome is. I'm up in the air about my 4.10's as well.

Both of you need to keep the 4.10 you have and try more tire at the track. Both of you are running 26" tires. That is what is killing you with the 4.10s.

John, with the 3.42, it is going to make you converter feel a lot looser around town compared to how it feels now. Randy is also right as they will put you shifting into third much later down the track and have you trapping at a lower rpm which may not be a good thing for you at all. So unless your main goal is to not turn so many rpm on the highway or you are planning a turbo, dont put in the 3.42.

I was running on the 28inch Nitto drag radials. Never got a chance to try the et streets. Thanks for sneding them though. I wish I had tried them to compare betwen the 2 tires.

You probablly would not have dont much better with them than you did with the nittos. However a set of 28x11.50 ET streets would probablly do the trick for you. That is probablly what I will go to if I dont get the M&H Dragradials.

no i never did because i figured out why i was revving so high. somehow my tranny is not shifting to od. it locks up in third gear. also, when i was at the track before bigkid tuning, my truck would lock the converter as soon as it shifted to third. which caused it to feel like a big turd. now everything is good.

there's no way that you are going to cross the traps in second on the spray unless your running a tall tire
