Default anyone heard of gear star transmissions?

i grenaded my transmission over the weekend... dealer took it apart, and left it apart when they gave it back... broke the output shaft in two...

I have an opportunity to get a gearstar transmission... level 4 (they only advertise a level 3 as their top dog... level 4 is a custom set up...)

the level 4 has everything the level three has plus 5 pinion planetarys front and rear, and kevlar bands and hardened steel throughout... plus these options from their website...

* ALTO Redline Racing Frictions & Band
* TransGo Competition Reprogramming Shift Kit
* GearStar Full Race Shift Kit
* 300M Hardened Steel Shaft and Hardened Expanded Capacity Drum
* Corvette Servo
* 13 Vane Pump
* High Load Sprag
* .500 Boost Valve
* ALTO Redline Band
* Hardened Steels
* Extreme Duty Springs & Sprags
* Sonnax Servo 3-4 “Superhold”

10 inch 2600-4500 stall which will allow repeated aggressive launches from a dead stop with no adverse impact on the converter or transmission.

and i am going with a yank 2600 TT...

i have a 5.3 with a radix running about 9-10 lbs of boost... plus a new tune coming from one of brians connections... i run 24" wheels with 4.10' and posi...

any feedback will be great... i cant beat the deal either, i have tried FLT, Toy Shop, etc... i just need to know if this is a decent set up.

Thanks

here is their website...

Why not talk to Chuck or Vince at FLT? They have more than proven their product. I had an FLT lvl5 4L65E in my truck and loved it!

We also have PerformaBuilt as a sponsor here too, I personally haven't ran their trans but have heard good things!

just my opinion but pulling your tranny and shipping it is a major pita. why not have a local shop do it that way you dont have to deal with the shipping and if anything happens you can just have them fix it with much less down time. not to mention if anything breaks your going to have to ship again . to me its no worth the hassle.
