Default Anyone ever had their steering randomly quit working?

So i have a really weird problem as of lately..i get in the truck the other day and cant get out of my parking spot because i cant turn the wheel to the right..i can go left to center no problem, but not right..crank on it as hard as i can, and it almost "pushes" through whatever is stopping it and it works just fine...sometimes i cant turn left, sometimes cant go right, and sometimes i can barely turn the wheel from center..it happens when im moving and when im parked..what is it? Power steering has full fluid, belt is good, all new steering parts as of spring etc...is the pump going out or the steering box maybe?

Sometimes i can break through whatever is holding it up, and sometimes i cant budge it..Just wanna figure it out before it happens when i need to make a quick turn or something..thanks

Steering box check valves are bad/sticking. Did you use red ATF or some funky "dedicated power steering" fluid when you serviced?

If you get pressure one way but not another your pump is fine.

Ive never changed the fluid in the power steering..its never leaked or been low, so its the same as when i bought the truck..whats the best way to change the fluid in it? or what is going to be my next move?

Is the centerlink, or anything attached to the centerlink, contacting the frame anywhere?

Is this happening while the vehicle is rolling, or when it's stationary & your foot is on the brake?

Thanks for all of the help guys..

I figured it out..i feel like a ****** dumbass...There was a wire hanging from when it broke off the power steering pump when i did the motor swap 2 years ago..well by some turn of events, this wire got hooked onto the steering shaft, which proceded to wrap the whole wiring harness that runs under the motor, around the steering shaft by the steering box. I couldnt see down in that far until today out in the sun..had to untangle it all and solder up some wires, but not all is well and all the wires are tucked away where they should be..
