Default Anybody ever snap thier output shaft?

After having my tranny rebuilt, I decided to also drop in a TT3000. After about 2 week of hard driving and hard launches, something went wrong. After a hard launch, all I heard was a clunk and my engine reving. I thought it was my rear end because my truck was completely locked up, they had to drag it onto the flat bed. I called my tranny shop, Toy Shop Transmissions, and they said to take it in.

They found that it wasn't the rear end, but the tranny. They took it apart and found the output shaft broken. They replaced it free of charge. They told me that if this one broke, they would replace it with a hardened one. They said that they didn't have a source for hardened shafts now, but they would send one out to be hardened, covered by their warranty. They also showed me all of the broken parts to a tranny that was in a Kenny Bell test truck that had a new prototype supercharger.

should of had it hardened to begin with..
you are going to snap the new one again..
the output shaft on these 60E's is very week.. it is not uncommon for it to snap..
I think most of the guys that have a substantial amount of power, can attest to snapping output shafts..
get you a hardened output shaft, and have a little more piece of mind.
