Default Any tips on getting converter engaged?

Can't seem to get the damn converter to engage that last point. It is only 3/4" back from the front of the bellhousing to the bolt lug. The flexplate mounting spot is like 1 1/4" off the back of the block.

There is a rubber o ring between the two sets of splines. I think that may be holding the converter out but, don't know for sure and don't want to force the thing in.

Any tips?

I'm going to measure some stuff now with some calipers to try and see where is it holding up.

Ok, got the converter all the way engaged. It was the rubber oring holding it up so I had to put some more *** behind it.

Now there is another problem though.

Yeah, me too.

I talked with Jack at Precision Industries and the converter specs out to all the right measurements.

I am looking at the transmission/pump as a possible culprit but, want to get some pictures and measurements again for you guys to look at.

ONYX was putting in his converter, and he had a hard time sliding it in, and after it did it would not spin. It turned out it was a hairline crank on some part on the freakin pump. The tranny shop replaced it and it was good to go. I will let try to find out exactly what part went out.
