You guys should start a seperate thread about swapping to a 6L80E. I keep thinking someone has finally blown one up when I see a reply here.

Drove the truck home from Sweetgrass last weekend. Nice place, Sweetgrass I'm scheduled to get the truck into the shop mid June. Decided to do the 3.3L Whipple vs. TT. Someone needs to either find the limit on the 6L80E or figure out how to strengthen it SOON! My internals will be built to handle 1000 whp. Might have to start with a big pully untill the R&D is done on this tranny.

I know of a Denali PU with a P1 (Paxton) that has had his go out. From what I understand he tows heavy equipment and beats on it while towing...

Well, instead of blowing mine up, I'm going with a built 4L80E. How hard is it to get it (4L80E) to talk nice to an ECU that thinks it's talking to a 6L80E? Anyone done this?

I replied to your other post in the old 6L80E thread also. Use a 6L90E. You are going to have a tough time getting a 4L80E to work.
