Any 4l60e Shift Kit Dos and Donts?

Everything mentioned so far is good. One thing I would do different is not put any spacers in the 1-2 accumulator. You're already getting a stronger spring.

Get the
1-2 aluminum accumulator piston
fwd aluminum piston
and the 3-4 should already be aluminum.
Get new orings for all three of these pistons
Use regular MD3 trans fluid

Okay great. Im finally got my billet 1-2 servo in today so I am ready to start the work. I might go ahead and get the plate and 1-2 accumulator piston and seals. So no shims in the accumulators? Check. The Smallest to middle hole size. Check. MD3 fluid. Check.

Does this shift kit do the same thing as a programmer that has the ability to change shift firmness and shift points?

Nope, not even close. Shift kit is all mechanical.
