Default Another Trans Cooler question?

I know this had kind of been beaten to death, but I've been searching around for a couple of days, and there is no straight answer to my question, so please bear with me for a little bit.

I have a Tru-Cool 40k sitting on my floor. I had every intention of getting it in tonight, but I got to thinking.

Will I be better served to go with a smaller cooler on the truck as I am still running the stock TC? Or am I just worrying about it too much. I am trying to get the truck running as best it can, so my Dad or brother will not have to deal with anything major while I'm gone.

I am aware that cooler is better, but how long will it take for my trans to get up to a normal operating temp with a stock TC?

Thanks for the help.

If you plumb it through the radiator cooler first the temps will warm up just fine.

So basically, just replace the stock cooler.

Well I guess that solves that. Guess I've got to do shocks and cooler install this weekend. Thanks for clearing it up a bit.

Too bad I'm doing all this on a truck I'm not even going to be able to drive from Aug-Dec.
